Here is a really yummy frosting for your sugar cookies- from my mom's recipe book.
1/4 cup Crisco shortening
3/4 cup butter
1 lb powder sugar
2 TBSP milk
1 tsp Almond extract
pinchy pinch of salt
Mix all ingredients together until light and fluffy, scraping bowl often. Add food coloring if desired.
